Georgia Love has shocked fans with the announcement that she and her husband Lee Elliot have “lovingly parted ways”. The pair fell in love on the second season of The Bachelorette Australia in 2016 and tied the knot in 2021, becoming the first and only couple from the reality show to get married.
Georgia took to her Instagram Story on Friday evening to break the news to her followers, with Lee sharing an identical statement on his account.
“After nine wonderful years together, including four as husband and wife, Lee and l have made the incredibly difficult decision to lovingly part ways,” she wrote. “Our relationship has been so special and we will always cherish the memories, love, and laughter we’ve shared.”
She went on to say that there is “no drama” or “bad blood” between them, adding: “Just two people who have grown in different directions while still holding deep respect and care for each other. We remain friends and thank you for giving us privacy as we navigate the next stage.”

There has been plenty of speculation over the past few months about Georgia and Lee’s marital status, with the journalist being spotted not wearing her wedding ring on several occasions.
They also haven’t posted any photos together on social media since September 2024, and Georgia notably travelled to New York City by herself over New Year’s while Lee stayed in Melbourne.
Georgia shut down split rumours back in December when fans speculated on her Instagram page that she and Lee had broken up and asserted that they were still together.
“We didn’t [split], actually. Best to stop speculating, least of all on my own page,” she wrote. “If I had anything to tell you all, I would do so myself.”
Georgia and Lee’s split marks the end of the remaining success story from The Bachelorette Australia, with no couples from the reality show still together today.
